Welcome to Sisters Beach House
Sisters Beach House is one of the few remaining original beach houses in Sisters Beach, Tasmania. Built in 1969 this owner-built beach ‘shack’ has been recycled into a stylish eclectic beach house, cosy enough for someone seeking a quiet escape, a romantic retreat, or friends and families wanting a lo-fi holiday. The house is fully equipped for a weekend away, or a long-term stay.
Located across the road from the beach and surrounded by a native garden, the north-facing house is bathed in sunlight all day and warmed by a wood fire heater at night. The house is at the quiet end of Sisters Beach so no noisy passing traffic, just the sound of the waves and birds.
Amenities
Two queen bedrooms and one twin single bedroom (4 beds) with snug feather doonas and extra wool blankets. Sleeps six maximum.

We love vinyl, and so do our guests. We let you play our much loved records … The collection includes original 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music such as 10CC, ABBA, ACDC, David Bowie, Dusty Springfield, Glenn Campbell, Heart, Icehouse, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Madonna, Randy Crawford, Roberta Flack, Soul II Soul, Suzi Quatro, Terence Trent Derby, Wham and more.
Cook up a storm in our kitchen, fully equipped for ‘Master Chefs’, or BBQ outside. Dine indoors or out on the deck.
Two couches are positioned in front of the wood fire heater and TV. An additional two ‘reading’ couches are located away from the TV.
The living room opens to a large sunny north facing deck with undercover dining table for six and gas BBQ overlooking front garden and walkway to beach. Perfect for brunch, lunch or afternoon drinks.
The house is surrounded by a native garden to encourage birdlife and the front lawn is perfect for totem tennis.
Walkway to beach opposite house and suitable for children, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing and fishing. Boat Ramp, Fishing Jetty and Walking Tracks 200m from house.
A rainwater shower and heat lamps to keep you warm in winter.
Front loading washing machine and laundry tub.
